Bringing speech therapy to you in a collaborative, consistent, and creative way!
Hi there!
I’m Erika Morgan, owner of Speaking With Words.
I graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree and 2007 with a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from West Texas A&M. I also hold the Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA.
I have 15 years experience diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders, working in public schools, private clinics, and home health.
My experience includes serving children with a wide range of disabilities from Autism and Intellectual Disability to Articulation and Fluency disorders. I specialize in the preschool and elementary populations evaluating and treating speech sound disorders, articulation and phonological disorders (includes apraxia), Autism, early language development, language/reading comprehension, and fluency disorders (stuttering).
I enjoy meeting new people, interacting with children, and a good laugh.
I’m so glad you are here!

Let’s talk about these important points
Do you have concerns that your child is not able to communicate effectively with you or his/her peers?
Does the idea of finding the right treatment for your child overwhelm you?
Are you concerned the support/accommodations your child is receiving are not appropriate or too little?
There is a solution
I have had some of these concerns about my own child as well. I was thankful to meet professionals that saw the concerns I had and were able to guide me through the process of evaluation and provide therapy services also.
As a boutique practice, services are personalized to meet individual needs while utilizing the child’s strengths. Treatment involves consideration of the child’s needs, home environment, and educational programming.
From evaluation to therapy, parent coaching, and/or referral to other professionals, we will find the best path for your child!
What we can accomplish together
My philosophy
I believe children are a gift and are created with unique talents and skills. Each child has the ability to learn, but deficits in speech and language can impact a child’s ability to learn and communicate his/her thoughts and ideas. This deficit can lead to decrease in engagement with peers and adults while also impacting other skills necessary to participate in the classroom, in your home, and community.
My goal is to come alongside you as the parent to help your child thrive in the best way possible. Crafting sessions that will address areas of concern, teaching you and your child techniques/skills that will increase confidence and benefit all in the years to come.
To ensure the best therapy possible, I encourage a consistent schedule for therapy along with collaboration between all adults engaging with your child.
